Graduate Students at the Child Study Center

The Child Study Center provides a rich training environment for graduate and undergraduate students.Where are they now? We have a talented core of superb graduate students from the Child Clinical and Developmental Psychology programs, and from the Human Development and Family Studies department, who are actively involved in the Center's efforts. In any given semester, about 30 doctoral students work at the Child Study Center toward completion of their graduate training. They come from across the U.S. and from abroad, and their research interests are equally broad.

Where are they now? Here is what our Graduates are doing with their training.

Graduate students are an integral part of the Child Study Center. They participate in a wide range of basic and applied educational activities. They conduct research on typical and atypical development in children and adolescents, teach and take courses in psychology, and provide prevention and intervention services to children and families as part of their training. Faculty with special expertise in the problems of children, youth, and families provide training and supervision to child clinical graduate students as they provide services to the community as part of their doctoral training. In fact, the large majority of these students have assistantships that provide them with professional experience in teaching, research, and outreach.
