On April 7th the Society for Research on Child Development will commence its biennial meeting, this year held in Atlanta, Georgia. Of special interest are several paper symposia being chaired and containing presentations by members of the CSC. As part of the 2005 Invited Symposia Dr. Pamela Cole will be chairing and presenting in a session entitled Emotion Regulation, the Next Generation: Points of Consensus, Paths to Resolution. Dr. Karen Bierman will be presenting “Elementary School Characteristics, Classroom Peer Communities, and Student Social-Emotional Development” in the Invited Paper Symposium What Can the Study of Schools and Schooling Contribute to Understanding Development and How Can It Be Studied? Additionally, Dr. Lynn Liben will also be chairing and presenting at this year’s meeting in the Paper Symposium Across Nonlinguistic Domains: Maps, Pictures, Replicas, Video, and Play.
